...beats me, man. Beats me why most dudes suck, sure as hell ain't my scene.
I first made the darkblue base (I wanted a cold colour) and made a quick sketch with red (contrasting colour)... and then made a skincolour, which I mixed with the darkblue, so that the colours would match each other. I left the red vissible, because I thought that suited the painting.
And the lights and shades where mainly mixtures from the blue base and referenced from the photo.
